Team Rankings

The Brewers remain my No. 1 team after going 5-1 over the past week and increasing their run differential from +168 to +195. Milwaukee also stretched its ratings lead over the Dodgers from 1.92 points to 2.93. Los Angeles went 4-2 to remain second, while Atlanta holds third despite a 3-4 week.

The Yankees remain fourth, and Tampa Bay moves ahead of the Cubs for fifth after a 5-1 week. Detroit is the week’s biggest riser, climbing four places to No. 12. Miami makes the largest drop, falling two spots to No. 15.

These ratings are not just the standings. They account for scoring margin, opponent strength, and season-long performance. Detroit is the clearest example this week: the Tigers are nine games below .500, but their +70 run differential and fifth-ranked pitching staff lift them above six teams with better records. Tampa Bay also benefits from a balanced profile, pairing 90 wins with top-nine marks in both batting and pitching TOP.

Milwaukee remains the most balanced team in the ratings. The Brewers rank fourth in batting TOP and second in pitching TOP. The Dodgers are third on both sides, while the Yankees pair the league’s top pitching mark with the fifth-ranked offense.

Batting

The Cubs remain No. 1 in team batting TOP, followed by Washington and the Dodgers. Milwaukee and the Yankees hold fourth and fifth. Miami and Pittsburgh each move up one place, while Colorado falls two spots to eighth. Tampa Bay and the White Sox complete the top 10.

Pete Crow-Armstrong holds onto the top qualified hitter ranking, with Yordan Alvarez and James Wood still second and third. Shohei Ohtani remains fourth, while Ben Rice and Jake Bauers each move up one place. Elly De La Cruz makes the biggest move in the top 10, climbing six spots to seventh. Kyle Schwarber falls three places to eighth, followed by Willson Contreras and Junior Caminero.

TOP measures total bases accumulated per plate appearance. Expected runs converts those total bases into a simple run estimate, giving another way to compare offensive production across players and teams.

Drew Rasmussen and Dylan Cease hold fifth and sixth. Parker Messick climbs two places to seventh, while Tarik Skubal remains eighth.
